speaking of weddings, esme was licking her frozen yogurt one day when she glimpsed what appeared to be a troupe of brides followed by photographers parading down the walkway.  what?  a multiple wedding?  a quinzinero?  finally esme inquired of one of the photographers and learned that this was a photo-shoot for the couture designer ericka engleman.  as esme gaped in wonder, one of the designers invited her to follow along with the show.

oh my!  several stunning models of various sizes and shapes were showing off the wares:  a slinky champagne number with spaghetti straps;  a white gown with cut-outs topped by a little black hat;  a stunning iridescent torquoise dress with jacket; and many more.  models were being prepped and pinned and tucked by assistants giggling and sipping champagne, befitting the occasion.

esme peeked into the sewing room, where swathes of incredible fabric were displayed.  she checked out veils, silk over-coats, various little old-fashioned hats.  she chatted with one of the designers who, as it turns out, has her own fashion-blog!  (http://www.fashily.blogspot.com).

it was enough to make one want to get married all over again!
