betsy johnson frock

the closing round in our class fashion show was a pair of designers who undertook to create a betsy-johnson-like frock.  a couple of things about the presentation amazed esme.  first of all, neither designer had ever sewn a stitch in her life.  and yet,  together they managed to cut, sew and finish an entire dress.  esme would not have gotten to square one in such an undertaking, one problem being, as mr. noir always points out, that esme just hates to read directions!

secondly, the pair did a really professional-looking ad.  unfortunately, esme’s photo doesn’t really do it justice, so you’ll have to take my word for it.  as with sewing, neither designer had used photo-shop before.  and somehow, they managed to teach themselves how to use this rather complicated app, and come up with an ad worthy of vogue.  i mean hey, they teach entire semester-long classes on photo-shop (i know because christophe took one)!
