look no further than CHARTREUSE (2nd floor, carmel plaza).  clothing designer par excellence, dorothy jaremko, has created the most delightful frock i’ve seen in many a year.  it’s a deceptively simple design called the marilyn (of course you remember marilyn monroe and the windy grate), with a flowing double skirt in crinkled silk, a bodice with a sexy plunge, and a wide sash at the waist.  guaranteed to make one feel like dancing!  and flirting.  and perhaps standing over a windy grate!

esme was a bit uncertain that she could pull off such a dress at the advanced age of 59 years and 7 days.   but she couldn’t resist giving it a try.  from a palette of dark gray, teal, black and deepest purple she chose the latter.  fabulous!  she and dorothy spent over an hour doing an impromptu photo-shoot, much to the amusement of passers-by.

you must give this one a try.

still twirling,
